SAN FRANCISCO sticks out as a good value shot for tonight.
Alternately, SEATTLE looks like it’s got some decent value as well.

Let’s cover SFG.

PARITY VALUE INDEX

LEAGUE :MLB
DATE :2014-04-06
Time Teams SU-L3-Record Value Season SU Record Value SU Result OU-L3-Record Value Season OU Record Value OU Result Final Result
W-L % W-L % O-U % O-U %

SFG is 3-0 and LAD is 1-2. Betting a negative progression system would put the money on LAD under the “something’s gotta give” law. But sniping a winner for value, would put the cross hairs directly on SFG.

We’re about sniping value so what I see from this, speaking strictly in terms of W/L, is that SFG is hot and LAD is not

Adding in the fact that SFG O/U is 3-0 L3G, it proves that their brilliance is at the plate, and maybe not so much with a solid bullpen.

PITCHING
Tonight’s matchup will be Cain vs Greinke.

  • Cain has definitely been strained vs LAD hitters L5S. Without question, his numbers are less than flattering.
  • Greinke is very new against SFG hitters but from what’s recorded so far, he’s about average vs SFG hitters.

Both pitchers have posted a 3.60ERA so far this season, but Greinke did slightly better in Spring Training.

Although Greinke stands slightly better, it doesn’t quite justify the 1.68 odds that Vegas assigned the LAD ML.

Geinke, stands better, but neither of these pitchers is on their game right now so that leads us to believe that it might be more about the bats.

BATTING

In Spring Training the Giants were 14th posting an avg of .272
In Spring Training the Dodgers were 28th posting an avg of .240

In Regular Season, LAD has improved their hitting to an average of .243 but SFG still leads them with an average of .255 so far this year.

ATSSTATS

No real advantage either way.
Historically LAD posts a tiny pinch better, but the advantage is negligible.

After reading the Raymond Report, all of a sudden things seem to look up for the Giants.

The Raymond Report is a CURRENT SEASON consideration that ‘s compared with all other teams on average.

So even thought LAD had a negligible edge HISTORICALLY…CURRENTLY, SFG looks like they’re in a position to hand out a serious walloping to the Dodgers.

For that reason, priced at a ML of 2.36, SFG odds can’t beat and they are a contender for best value of the day.

Tonight’s Prediction: San Francisco to win 6-5.
