Pick: Minnesota Twins +130

Today we like Minnesota for the splits in terms of pitcher vs batter matchup.

  • Our #1 consideration is that Danny Salazar is 6.95 ERA vs Right Handed Hitters.
  • Last night, Minnesota had 7 Right-Handed Hitters in their lineup
hitting over .700 OPS. We expect more of the same today.

Oswaldo Arcia  .500 AVG vs Salazar  4 At Bats
Chris Colabello  .333 AVG vs Salazar  6 At Bats
Brian Dozier  .625 AVG vs Salazar  8 At Bats
Eduardo Escobar  .333 AVG vs Salazar  3 At Bats

The good news is that these 4 have completely dominated Salazar.
The bad news is that these 4 are in some kind of a cooler lately.

If they ever needed a target to re-ignite their hitting, Salazar is the mark.

ATS RAYMOND REPORT

Slight advantage Minnesota.

ATS MATCHUPS

Although matchups has Cleveland as clearly better, however, we are targeting a “pitcher specific” consideration so much of the historical positioning won’t factor in strongly.

Summary: Salazar (6.95 ERA vs Right Handed Hitters) will have to face RHH after RHH. Minnesota has one of the biggest and strongest right-handed hitting lineups in the league, meaning there should be plenty of opportunity to score plural runs.
