The New Orleans Saints will hit the road looking for their first win of the season away from the dome as they take on the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday Night Football.
The Saints finally got their first win of the season by taking down the Minnesota Vikings. The win was at home where the Saints are expected to win, but they still had problems putting up points. The Saints failed to cover a (-9.5) point spread and have yet to have an impressive game this season on both sides of the ball. This will be the third game on the road for the Saints who have already lost away games to the Cleveland Browns and the Atlanta Falcons.
Defensive coordinator Rob Ryan will have extra incentive to play well as he will face his former team after being fired. The Cowboys are eager to get home as they have played the last two weeks on the road. They are a perfect 2-0 in those road games and the last win against the St. Louis was very impressive as they overcame a 21 point deficit to get the victory. The Cowboys finished the game with more designed rushing plays (28) than designed drop backs (24), improving the team’s record to 8-1 when calling more rushes than passes in Jason Garrett’s head coaching career. The Cowboys approach to run first has worked up to this point.
