NFL Week 13 Preview
As the regular season begins to hit a crucial stage, there are plenty of intriguing match-ups this weekend. And of course, this is no ordinary weekend, with the Thanksgiving schedule promising a number of mouth-watering clashes.
None more so than at Lambeau Field where the New England Patriots will take on the Green Bay Packers. Both are in excellent form and will have genuine Super Bowl hopes. The Patriots have won each of their last seven games, the Packers seven of their last eight. And then of course there is the prospect of a head to head battle between Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers. For Green Bay, as if the passing game of Rodgers wasn’t enough, running back Eddie Lacy has emerged as an effective running offensive powerhouse too. However, New England has its own exciting running back as well, in the form of LeGarrette Blount, recently discarded by Pittsburgh only to make an immediate impact for the Patriots. It’s an intriguing match-up and a difficult one to call, although you can click here for some great odds.
Another quarter back in focus is Philadelphia Eagles’ Mark Sanchez. Explosive on his day, Sanchez is also prone to interceptions. Frustrating for Eagles fans, but entertaining for the neutral to watch. This week, Sanchez follows up a typically shaky but enthralling performance at Tennessee with a visit to Dallas in what could be a thrilling showdown. The two sides are leading the way in the NFL East and victory for either would be a real boost as the regular season moves into the back end. The Cowboys recorded an exciting comeback win last week against the Giants, a victory which really displayed what coach Jerry Garrett has been able to achieve.
Of course, no mention of last week’s Giant-Cowboys encounter would be complete without reference to Odell Beckham Jr’s incredible one-handed 43-yard touchdown completion. It was surely one of the greatest catches of all time and it will be interesting to see how Beckham and indeed the Giants follow it up this weekend when they take on the Jacksonville Jaguars. The G-Men will certainly go into the game as strong favourites, despite last week’s setback against the Cowboys. The Jaguars have a poor defence and Eli Manning will likely be licking his lips to exploit Jacksonville’s defensive weakness to the fullest. You can expect the Giants to be looking forward to the Thanksgiving break, and for those looking forward to place an NFL bet, William Hill, the UK’s top sportsbook, is the site to visit.
