It’s time to light up your GPPs and I’m getting the vibes that a lot of people are spending big at QB because there’s so much value at other positions.  Well, there’s value at QB, and part of playing GPPs is that you are willing to take the contrarian stance while steering clear of being too chalky. Contrarian picks go against the field in every way possible, and afford you the opportunity to move towards a player when everyone else is running from that player, and then when they go off, you are one of the few owners that have them, meaning that their low ownership will set you apart from the pack.  That’s how big money is won, and because I’m conservative by nature GPPs aren’t the best fit for me.  I will enter about five GPPs lineups per week, sticking with the same core, and rotating in some players I feel like the field will be off… Let’s take a closer look.

I think Philip Rivers will be seldom used in cash, but is still down for 20 points.  I believe he is a good QB in cash, because his floor is high, but will be high owned in GPP.  Just want to get that off my chest.

Jared Goff – at $6500 why not.  If you think he’s legit, than eventually he’ll put up big numbers, and GPPs are the time to test that theory out.  I’ve  seen $250,000 GPP winners with Teddy Bridgewater, Marcus Mariota and Jameis Winston as QBs in different weeks, bought for cheap and low-owned.  His matchup is good, and we love his new O-line and weapons.

Jacquizz Rodgers is super sneaky this week.  GPP players are wise so we won’t be super low owned, but he does have the potential to go off.  Almost a cash game play, but I want to give it another week.  Plus I have Brate.

James White at $5700 was targeted five times in Week 1.  That number could double as I think Brady throws the ball 37-40 times in Week 2.

Adam Thielen at $5800 is stupid low for a guy that had 90 receptions last season and 10 targets for 157 yards in Week 1.  The Pittsburgh defense is good, but not that good.

There are a lot of super sneaky ninja picks at WR this week, but I love Allen Hurns the most.  Hurns and Bortles have a rich history, and Hurns is suited to be the #1 WR in that offense.

Digging deep, Kendall Wright at $5400 is now the WR #2 in Chicago with Kevin White out.  This cat used to be so dependable in Tennessee… he’s super sneaky this week.

I’d go to the well again for with both Jesse James and Austin Hooper who averaged 19.5 fantasy points per game between the two of them.  Both are trusted by their QBs and in great offenses.  Roll them out for dirt cheap and sneak up on some people.
OJ Howard is a great example of a contrarian pick.  At $5300 many will fade because it’s first NFL game.  This would be the time to jump on him, and try him in a couple of low buy-in GPPs.

Zach Miller is intriguing to me.  He’s only $4500 and makes for a great target for Mike Glennon, especially with Kevin White out.  He needs 12 points to crush value and gave you almost 6 points last week.  Just think about it.
Good Luck Gamers, can’t wait for this slate of games, a lot of exciting matchups.
