WORLD SERIES OF HANDICAPPING WEEK 16 CONSENSUS PICKS

December 23rd, 2017

Gaining on the top of the leader board in the World Series of Handicapping is no longer good enough.  One has to gain, and hope that those above you in the standings fall as well.  The Consensus pick article has never been more important because if you are currently on the outside looking in you will need to figure how to go against the field.  If you are at the top of the standings, your safe plays are right in front you… let’s get down to business.

Buffalo +12.5 at New England

This line is way too high – this is a divisional game featuring a Bills team that will be fighting for a playoff spot against a banged up Patriots team.  Not to mention the Bills have a top six rushing defense.

Jacksonville -4.5 at San Francisco

This is a no-brainer as Jimmy G magic will be taking a weak off.  These two teams don’t matchup well, and the Jaguars have a great shut-down secondary along with the ability to slow the game down.

Seattle +5.5 at Dallas

This Seattle offense is good enough against the Dallas Defense to keep this one close.  The Seahawks are a prideful bunch and they are not going to roll over.  I think Dak struggles in this one, and even though Dallas likely wins, Seattle covers.

Houston +10 vs Pittsburgh

The Steelers have been in three consecutive knock down drag battles with Cincinnati, Baltimore and New England.   This is the game where they play down to their competition and still pull out the win.  Houston’s defense is good enough to get stops and the Steelers without Antonio Brown already are pretty banged up.  I expect this road to be tougher than it should be.  The Steelers still win, but Houston comes through with the cover.

OVER/UNDER SPECIAL Los Angeles Rams vs Tennessee Titans (48 points)

I’m taking the over, and I’m taking it with ease…. Of course anything can happened as I’ve witnessed several times before, but this one looks pretty good.  The Rams are coming off a game where they just dropped 40 points at Seattle, and the week before they dropped 35 on the Eagles – the Rams are damn good beating the Colts by 37,  dropping 40+ on the 49ers, beating the Cowboys, Jaguars, shutting out the Cardinals, dropping 51 on the Giants, beating the Saints and scoring at least 30 points in 9 games. There’s no question they throw another 30 plus on the Titans.  Hit the over.
Good luck gamers.
