Des Boodram

With a week under our belt we are off to a great start even though my current record is 1-1.  NBA Cash games in my opinion is still the toughest game going, because there are so many variables, and more unknowns than any other sport.

Daily Fantasy Basketball is not for the faint of heart as I’ve alluded to before.  You have to know what’s going with each player and each team and you have to stay in touch with roster changes and moves that may supercharge one of your fantasy line-ups.

I’m living in the cash game world right now until I can build my bankroll and save up some jack to play in some tournaments.  Here’s what I’m looking at for tonight.

PG – Terry Rozier vs New York $5100

Rozier is going to be super chalky tonight.  He is likely the biggest benefactor of the Marcus Smart injury, pushing 30 minutes per game, with a ton of ball handling volume to help drive up the counting stats.  Rozier has a plus matchup though I expect the Celtics as a unit to be sluggish.  I cannot ignore this volume at this price either.

SG – Kent Bazemore vs Charlotte $5800

I love Bazemore in this spot… at home against the Charlotte Hornets, a team he dropped 26 points and 39.4 fantasy points on just five days ago on the road.  It should be noted that just because scores well against a team, doesn’t mean he will score well when he plays that team again.  In fact it could be worse the 2nd time out… there are just too many variable for player outputs to perfectly align every time.   You could go Nicolas Batum here for the same price, but I still like Bazemore.

SF – Robert Covington at Brooklyn $6200

This is one of two games I will be targeting with my cash game line with the other one being the ATL/CHA game.   There are a lot of things to like about Covington in this spot starting with the price.  He’s been getting an uptick in minutes and consequently in points per game.  He has a great matchup against a terrible defensive team in the Brooklyn Nets and is sure to benefit from the absence of Joel Embiid. With additional minutes and volume.  Covington hasn’t been making the same type of splash he did last season, but he has been producing of late and has all the stars align to post another number

PF – Frank Kaminsky at Atlanta $4000

Volume is the name of the game in this one as Frank the Tank will be replacing Marvin Williams in the starting line up.  Look at the price… he needs 20 measly fantasy point to hit value.  This is least sexy attainment of value in the history of daily fantasy basketball… ever.

C – Dwight Howard at Atlanta $10,200

Howard had 60 fantasy points the last time Charlotte played Atlanta, and he has been a stud this entire season, healthy and playing 35 minutes per night.  My roster is filled with value picks so I’m going to roster two high-end studs… Dwight Howard is one of them for sure.  Get him in your line up… he’ll be the highest scoring center.

Good Luck Gamers.
