My Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid cash game stack paid off in a huge way, and now I’m going back to the well again. I love Simmons down the stretch, and though Embiid crushed valued, he’s laid some eggs and he’s expensive. If you decide to roster three studs instead of two, you will have to roster at list three bottom tiered players as well. It’s a tough way to make a DFS living as all three studs have to go off, and those 2-3 bottom feeders need hit value as well. The game is tough, and you have learn from the mistakes. As I said, the Simmons, Embiid stack was great, but Tim Hardaway also went off along with Lou Williams, so it was a great night. I’m looking for a couple more big nights in a row, and Saturdays slate is ripe for the picking. Here we go!!
POINT GUARD – Damon Lillard $9700
Lillard has become one of the top 10 premiere scorers in the league, and as long as he remains below 10K he has value. Moving forward at this price point Lillard is almost matchup proof and tonight he has a plus matchup against the Suns. He hit value against them last time out and I see nothing that says he won’t eat again tonight. I also lover Terry Rozier at New York.
SHOOTING GUARD – Devin Booker $7700
The reigning three-point champion is getting a ton of minutes and volume, which should be the case moving forward. It doesn’t always translate into fantasy points, which explains his price tag, but tonight he has a great matchup against the Trail Blazers at home. Last month at Portland Booker dropped 43 points in 41 minutes for over 67 fantasy points. If he gets half of that in an already juicy matchup he’ll be close to hitting value. I also like Wayne Elllington vs Memphis.
SMALL FORWARD – Kevin Durant $10,300
I’m don’t feel great about Durant in any matchup because the Warrior have so much offensive punch. It could be a Klay day, or a Steph day, but more often than not it’s going to be Durant. I’m going high dollar and lower dollar at each position tonight, so I’m going to spend big here. The matchup is good, and Durant’s defense has gotten better over the past month. He’s such a hybrid there are few players in the league that can matchup and I’m not crazy about any other Small Forwards on the slate.
POWER FORWARD – Bobby Portis $6,900
I don’t really like Portis as a person, but in DFS it’s never about that… it’s about value. He has been the focal part of the offense in the last few games since the Bulls went into tank mode, and his output with the increased minutes and volume has been great. As his price tag continues to increase, Portis becomes less of a consideration on a bad team, but right now even at Minnesota at under $7K I think he’s worth a shot in cash or GPP.
CENTER – Alex Len $4500
With Tyson Chandler out Len is a must start value play even if he get’s only 25 minutes of playing time. Portland lacks size in the front-court and Len should be able to move around with ease racking up rebounds and garbage-points like it’s his job. If Chandler does start tonight I will pivot.
Good Luck Gamers.
