WR – Ju-Ju Smith Schuster at Cleveland Browns

I think Big Ben is a man possessed and will be throwing it around to every body in this one.  The Browns are a bit more stingy on defense, but all eyes will be on Antonio Brown with LeVeon Bell out.  This means single coverage for Schuster and not much in the way of big game.  Smith-Schuster finished last year with 8 straight games of 5 targets or more, so there’s no reason to believe he won’t be see that same kind of volume.

WR – Mike Williams vs Kansas City

At $5400 this is a bit of a throw away, but I do love how Williams a first round and 7th pick overall out of Clemson is being used.  His athleticism gives Philip Rivers a new toy that stretches the field.  Williams will get red zone looks as well, and he’s coming off a great camp so I expect great things from Williams starting this week.

I also like Chris Hogan, Antonio Brown, and Sterling Shepherd

TE – Jordan Reed at Arizona
I like this play here in week especially because his new QB in Washington, Alex Smith only likes to throw to his TEs.  This is good for Jordan Reed, as long as he can stay healthy.  In his last 16 games that he stepped on the field for, Reed has over 1000 yards and 12 TDs.  I think he can have a monster year if he can just stay healthy.

I also like Gronk, Jack Doyle and Travis Kelce.

FLEX –  Latavius Murray vs San Francisco

At first this appears to be as though this could be another throw away pick, but I can tell you I’ve been studying Murray and the Vikings all off season, to hammer this out and I truly believe Murray is a great cash-game play.  I love Dalvin Cook, and I think he will be a top 5 back by the end of next year, but he’s coming off of a brutal injury and can’t be expected to carry a full workload.  That’s where I enter in and find out who is backing up Dalvin Cook.  Aside from the NFC Championship game Murray has averaged 20 carries per game in his last five games while also being active in the passing game.   Murray scored three TDs in that time and has always handled himself well around the goal line.  Matchup wise they play the 49ers and should have this one wrapped up by the third quarter mid way through.  At that point I can see Murray getting 5-7 carries in the fourth quarter alone.  Trust the process

DEFENSE – Green Bay Packers vs Chicago

This is night game that I’m hoping will be sloppy and rainy.  Either way the Packers scored 9 fantasy points per game last year against the Bears.  The Bears are slightly better on offense, but the Packers have also upgraded on defense as well.  So why Green Bay?  It’s the first game of the season… Mitch Trubisky is only in his second year, and it seems likely the Bears will need a few quarters to adjust.  Green Bay should be able to capitalize on this.

Defenses I like – Baltimore, and New Orleans.

Good Luck Gamers.
