The game is a marathon, and the moment you forget that is the moment you’ve let a single week pass you by. It’s important to put your work in, make picks that are uncomfortable, because things are simply not as they seem. Chicago was supposed cover against Miami last week right? Then when you heard Brock Osweiler was starting the money started really flowing in on Chicago to cover on the road. Oops… many dollars and WSOH confidence points later you find yourself in the red wondering what could’ve been. No on had Miami, but a bunch of people played other games, leaving you to wallow with a few other competitors in a dumbfounded existence. It happens to us all and we have to press on. That’s why looking at how the field is leaning is so comforting to me. It reflects a group of competitors and their willingness to press on.
ARIZONA CARDINALS +2 vs DENVER BRONCOS
Well that you all blew that one!!!
SAN FRANCISCO 49ers +10.5 vs LOS ANGELES RAMS
I can see this – because it’s a divisional matchup the 49ers are home and their run defense is not bad. This will force Goff into more passing situations affording the 49er the opportunity to sit on the Rams offense. All they have to do is finish with 10 points of the RAMS and they played the Packer tight at Lambeau earlier this week. They do have a short week however, and I’m sensing a let down, which includes a Denver at Arizona type blowout. RAMS 45 49ers 17
HOUSTON TEXANS +4 vs JACKSONVILLE
I don’t like the Jags at all in this one, and I think the honeymoon is over in Jacksonville. The defense knows that Blake Bortles is as useful as a third nut, and they simply can’t bring it every game like they did last year. The running game sucks, and Bortles is missing his two top WRs from last year. Then there’s Bortles – do you trust him against the HOU defense and offense with DeShaun Watson, who is yet to be shut out by any defense??? Me neither – HOU 31 JACKSONVILLE 30
BUFFALO BILLS +7.5 vs INDIANAPOLIS COLTS
There’s no way Colts clear seven points here if they win. They just got trounced by the JETS and now they get a hungry Bills team who is great defensively. The Colts are really banged up right now on offense, and the Bills start Derek Anderson off the street. I like the Bills plus the points and I’m taking the under.
INDY 24 BUFFALO 17.
DALLAS +1.5 at WASHINGTON
This game is really a toss-up and I’m truly conflicted so I’ll be avoiding. I’m leaning towards the Cowboys despite their struggles on the road. They are the healthier team and slightly better in the trenches. The Cowobys have better playmakers, and a more athletic defense. I do think this one close to the wire, but I’ve seen Washington win these games too many times. DALLAS 27 WASHINGTON 24
Good Luck Gamers.
