The Golden State Warriors have lived to fight another day. Despite losing Kevin Durant early after aggravating his right leg injury, the Warriors held on to beat the Raptors 106-105 Monday night as 1-point home dogs on the closing line, forcing Thursday’s Game 6 in Oakland. Durant started Game 5 after practicing Sunday for the first time since he suffered a calf (and perhaps an Achilles) injury during the second round. He quickly scored 11 points in 12 minutes, including 3-of-3 from downtown, before having to leave the game. He left Scotiabank Arena on crutches and in a walking boot; he was scheduled to have an MRI on Tuesday. Kevon Looney also had to leave Monday’s game after aggravating the cartilage injury he suffered near his collarbone in Game 3 of the Finals. His status for Game 6 is uncertain at press time.

Despite the injuries, Golden State prevailed by hitting 20 of their 42 3-pointers, while Toronto shot just 8-of-32 from behind the arc. Kawhi Leonard was held to 26 points on 9-of-24 shooting; Pascal Siakam and Danny Green were 0-for-8 combined from long range, while Kyle Lowry was 1-for-6.
