CFL Week 16 Power Ratings – Raymond Report

The CFL playoff picture is heating up, and the Raymond Report SOS Power Ratings tell a clear story: Saskatchewan is still the team to beat, but Hamilton and Calgary are in hot pursuit. Meanwhile, Toronto is finally alive, Edmonton remains dangerous despite their record, and Winnipeg is trending in the wrong direction.

CFL Week 16 Power Ratings

1. Saskatchewan Roughriders (10-3, PR 0.63)

The Riders remain on top, but they’ve cooled a bit. Season PR sits at 0.63, though their last 3-game PR dipped to just 0.39. They’re still the Grey Cup favorite, but the gap is shrinking.

2. Hamilton Tiger-Cats (8-5, PR 0.55)

Hamilton is peaking at the right time. Winners in 2 of their last 3 (PR 0.56) and holding a steady 0.53 PR over their last 7, they’re the East’s best shot to challenge the West.

3. Calgary Stampeders (8-4, PR 0.57)

The Stamps continue to hover in contender territory. A steady 2-1 stretch with a 0.56 PR shows they’re still balanced, but not as hot as a few weeks ago.

4. Toronto Argonauts (5-8, PR 0.44)

🚀 Toronto is alive again! Winners of 3 straight, their last 3-game PR has spiked to a league-best 0.72. They’re still near the bottom overall, but bettors should note the momentum shift.

5. Edmonton Elks (5-8, PR 0.44)

Edmonton’s season PR is modest (0.44), but their last 7-game PR (0.54) suggests improvement. They’re 1-2 in their last 3 but still outperforming their record. Spoiler potential remains high.

6. Montreal Alouettes (6-7, PR 0.49)

Montreal finally picked up a win but is still sliding. Their last 3-game PR sits at just 0.39, reflecting inconsistency. Until they string wins together, they’re a risky play.

7. Winnipeg Blue Bombers (6-7, PR 0.50)

Winnipeg is stuck in a rut. They’ve lost 3 straight with a PR crash to 0.33 in that span. Their longer-term PR (0.49 over last 7) is mediocre, making them an unreliable betting option right now.

8. British Columbia Lions (6-7, PR 0.48)

The Lions are under .500 and showing little spark. Just 1-2 in their last 3 (0.44 PR), they’ve been treading water. Their playoff hopes are fading unless they flip the switch.

9. Ottawa Redblacks (4-9, PR 0.41)

Same old Ottawa. A season PR of 0.41 and just 1-2 in their last 3 (0.33 PR) has them locked in spoiler mode. Good for ATS fights, not outright wins.

Betting Takeaways

  • Saskatchewan – Still top dog, but not invincible (last 3 PR: 0.39).
  • Hamilton – Quietly climbing; East’s best investment.
  • Toronto – 🚨 Buy signal: hottest team in the league right now.
  • Edmonton – Live dog in the right matchups.
  • Winnipeg & BC – Cold, fading out of form.
  • Montreal & Ottawa – Too inconsistent to trust.
