As we approach the final week of the CFL regular season, the playoff picture is becoming clear. Only the top 3 teams from each division will make the playoffs, leaving Hamilton, Calgary, and Edmonton out of contention. Here’s how the teams rank heading into Week 21 based on the Raymond Report Power Ratings (PR) and Strength of Schedule (SOS) data.

Key Insights:

  • Winnipeg Blue Bombers lead the CFL Power Ratings with a 0.71 PR and have clinched a playoff berth. They’ll look to finish strong and secure the best possible seeding heading into the playoffs.
  • Saskatchewan Roughriders and Toronto Argonauts are close behind with Power Ratings of 0.67. Both teams are coming off solid performances and are well-positioned for playoff success.
  • Montreal Alouettes have clinched the East Division and boast a strong 12-4 record. Their PR of 0.61 reflects their solid season, but they’ll need to stay sharp heading into the playoffs.
  • British Columbia Lions and Ottawa Redblacks round out the playoff teams. BC has shown inconsistency but remains a dangerous team, while Ottawa will need to bounce back from a tough second half of the season.
  • Hamilton, Calgary, and Edmonton are officially out of the playoffs. Despite Hamilton’s late surge and Edmonton’s efforts, their records and PRs weren’t enough to secure a postseason spot.

Playoff Picture:

  • Montreal Alouettes have clinched the East Division, securing home-field advantage in the playoffs.
  • Winnipeg, Saskatchewan, Toronto, BC, and Ottawa have clinched their playoff berths.
  • Hamilton, Calgary, and Edmonton are out of playoff contention.

This final week will determine playoff seeding and matchups, so it’s crucial for teams to finish strong and carry momentum into the postseason.
