The World Series of Handicapping® has operated since 2012 as a year-long pro football handicapping contest. The 2026 edition covers Weeks 1–18 of the pro football season and is structured around cumulative performance, ranked conviction, and disciplined weekly participation.
One $25 entry covers the full season.
Every week, contestants submit seven selections. Each pick is ranked from 7 units down to 1 unit, creating a defined risk-and-reward structure rather than a flat weekly card. Units accumulate through Week 18. The contestant with the highest cumulative total wins the championship.
This is not a win-percentage contest. It is not determined by overall record. It is a season-long unit-management competition.

PRIZE STRUCTURE
The season prize pool is based on final entries. Seventy percent goes to the prize pool, with 30% allocated as the operator fee. Final standings after Week 18 determine the winners.
At 25 entries, the posted prize structure is:

The current live field has 14 players, with a live prize pool showing $161 for 1st, $49 for 2nd, and $34 for 3rd. Additional entries increase the competitive field and the available prize pool.
HOW THE WSOH FORMAT WORKS
01 : REGISTER ONCE
Pay the $25 one-time entry fee. Registration covers the entire 18-week season.
There is no need to re-enter each week. One payment provides access to the season-long contest.
02 : SUBMIT SEVEN WEEKLY PICKS
Each week, make seven pro football selections. Picks can use any combination of sides and totals.
Rank the selections by confidence:
- 7-unit selection
- 6-unit selection
- 5-unit selection
- 4-unit selection
- 3-unit selection
- 2-unit selection
- 1-unit selection
The ranking determines the amount won or lost for each selection under the contest’s Vegas 11/10 scoring system.
03 : SUBMIT WITHIN THE PICK WINDOW
The weekly pick window opens Wednesday at 12:00 p.m. EST and closes Sunday at 1:00 p.m. EST.
If a contestant selects a Thursday game, all seven picks must be submitted before that Thursday kickoff. The system does not permit a partial submission strategy built around waiting for later games.
The first-season picks deadline is:
Wednesday, Sept. 9, 8:30 p.m. EST
Contestants should submit early enough to confirm that all seven selections are recorded correctly.
04 : CLIMB THE LEADERBOARD
Units accumulate across all 18 weeks. The leaderboard tracks cumulative performance in real time.
The objective is simple:
Finish Week 18 with the highest cumulative unit total.
VEGAS 11/10 SCORING
The WSOH uses standard Vegas 11/10 scoring:
- Win: +1.00 per unit
- Loss: -1.10 per unit

This structure makes selection ranking part of the handicapping process. A contestant must identify not only the preferred seven picks, but also the correct order of conviction.
A high-confidence 7-unit selection carries more upside than a 1-unit selection, but it also carries more downside. The scoring system rewards accurate prioritization over 18 weeks.

A seven-pick card can produce short-term variance. An 18-week contest provides a larger sample and places greater emphasis on process.

DISCIPLINE IS PART OF THE SCORING MODEL
NO MODIFICATIONS
Once submitted, picks are FINAL. Double-check every selection, ranking, and game before confirming. No changes are permitted after submission.
NO BYE WEEKS
Missing a week results in an automatic 0-7 record and -30.80 units.
Weekly participation is mandatory. The season champion is determined by cumulative units, so a missed week creates a defined mathematical disadvantage that cannot be ignored.
OFFICIAL PLATFORM ONLY
Picks must be submitted through the official WSOH website. Entries are not accepted by email, phone, or direct message.
LOCKED LINES
Lines are posted Wednesday at 12:00 p.m. EST. There are no adjustments for subsequent line movement.
This makes timing and price evaluation part of the contest. Contestants are competing on the posted contest lines, not on later market prices.
PUBLIC DISPLAY
All picks are displayed after the Sunday 1:00 p.m. EST deadline. Thursday selections remain hidden until the public release.
The system therefore provides a defined period for private submission followed by transparent leaderboard and pick visibility.

The WSOH entry fee is a one-time $25 commitment to an entire pro football season.
For that entry, contestants receive:
