MLB Power Ratings Update: Analyzing Team Strengths and Performances for August 13th, 2024

In this article, we will evaluate MLB teams based on their performance over the last 14 games using a customized point system. This system takes into account wins, Strength of Schedule (SOS), and a Power Rating Bonus to determine each team’s total points and rank them accordingly.

### Point System

Win Points:

– Each win earns +2 points.

SOS Adjustment:

– For each win, add points equal to the SOS percentage.

– For each loss, subtract points equal to half of the SOS percentage.

Power Rating Bonus:

– Multiply the team’s Power Rating by 10 and add it to the total points.

Now, let’s apply this formula to each team and see how they rank based on their last 14 games.
