Another full slate of Major League Baseball is on deck this Wednesday, and the Raymond Report is here to break it down. Using C.O.W (Chance of Winning), VIC (Value Index Confidence), and recent streak data, let’s dive into today’s matchups and find where the betting edges might be hiding.
The Nationals (52-79) limp in on a 4-game losing skid, while the Yankees (72-60) are heating up with 3 straight wins. Max Fried takes the mound with a 60% C.O.W edge. Price is steep, but the Bronx Bombers are the clear chalk.
The Braves (60-72) exploded for 11 runs yesterday and send Joey Wentz to face Miami’s Ryan Gusto. The Marlins (62-70) are 4-6 in their last 10, while totals lean Over with both staffs struggling.
Tampa Bay (64-68) cooled off yesterday, but Cleveland (65-65) is still just 2-8 in their last 10 despite a Messick-led shutout. Drew Rasmussen takes on Slade Cecconi. Guardians are bearish in VIC, lean Rays.
The Padres (75-58) outslugged Seattle yesterday, but Mariners (71-62) counter with Bryan Woo. Both clubs are strong, but Seattle is 7-3 to the Over in their last 10. Totals may hold more value than the side.
Boston (73-60) pitching has silenced Baltimore two straight games. Bello takes the ball with a 54% C.O.W edge. Orioles (60-72) fading fast. Totals lean Over (C.O.G.O 69%).
Toronto (77-56) stumbled last night but Bassitt hands the ball to Lauer for redemption. Twins (59-72) are 3-7 last 10, and Jays are 7-2-1 to the Over in that span.
Philly (76-56) drops two straight while the Mets (71-61) are surging. McLean starts for New York with VIC neutral but form in their favor.
The Royals (68-65) grind another series with Ryan Bergert starting. Sox (48-84) are in spoiler mode, Civale gives them a shot, but VIC stays neutral.
Brewers (83-50) look for consistency behind Priester, while D-Backs (64-68) skid continues. Arizona’s lost three straight, but totals lean Over (6-4 last 10).
The Pirates (58-75) send Bubba Chandler, while Sonny Gray takes the bump for St. Louis (65-68). Pittsburgh sneaky 6-4 last 10; VIC bullish Pirates suggests live dog.
Rangers (67-67) climbing back to .500, Jacob Latz starts vs Kochanowicz. Angels (62-70) just 3-7 last 10. Totals lean Over, VIC bearish LAA.
Astros (72-60) got stunned by Colorado yesterday. Valdez takes the ball against rookie Dollander. Houston still carries a 50% C.O.W edge and looks to bounce back.
Dodgers (76-57) keep rolling behind Ohtani. Reds (67-65) sliding, now lost 2 straight. Dodgers 6-4 last 10 and chalky, but deservedly so.
Cubs (76-56) are still 7-3 last 10 despite last night’s loss. Giants (64-68) behind Whisenhunt have won 3 straight. Totals lean Over (C.O.G.O 60%).
Detroit (78-56) on a 3-game skid, while Oakland (62-72) surges with 7 wins in their last 10. High total (11.0) reflects fireworks. Both clubs heavy Over trends.
