Game 2 of the National League Championship Series will take place this Saturday when the St. Louis Cardinals host the Washington Nationals. First pitch is at 4:08 PM ET on TBS. This isn’t the matchup most people expected; the Nationals came back from a 2-1 deficit in their five-game NL Division Series against the Los Angeles Dodgers, winning 7-3 Tuesday night to take Game 5 in the 10th inning as +145 underdogs at Chavez Ravine.

St. Louis also pulled off the upset, although a milder one, in their NLDS win over the Atlanta Braves. Facing the same 2-1 series deficit, the Cards fought back from the brink, and they sealed their Game 5 on Sunday with a 10-run outburst in the opening frame of their 13-1 victory, cashing in as –103 road dogs.

Starting pitchers have yet to be announced at press time for Saturday’s contest, which will follow Friday’s opening game (8:08 PM ET, TBS) at Busch Stadium. After winning the NL Central at 91-71, the Cardinals opened the playoffs as +1000 World Series outsiders. 93-69 Washington were even further back at +1500, needing to win their Wild Card game to reach the NLDS.
