Houston Rockets (223) vs. Denver Nuggets (2) Preview & Prediction (11/20/2019)

The Houston Rockets  will be on the road Wednesday taking the court against the Nuggets at the Pepsi Center in Denver. The Rockets will look to keep their winning streak going following a 132-108 win at home against the Portland Trail Blazers on Monday. The Nuggets will be looking for a third consecutive win following a 131-114 win against the Grizzlies in Memphis their last time on the court.

The Houston Rockets are now 11-3 on the season following a 132-108 win at home against the Portland Trail Blazers. James Harden was able to knock down 11 of 19 from the field to lead the Rockets with 36 points. Russell Westbrook was able to pass the ball for a team-high 10 assists while Clint Capela grabbed 20 rebounds. Houston had five players finish the game with a double-digit scoring night.

The Rockets have been good for an average of 119.5 points per game on the offensive end of the court while hitting 44.2 percent from the field. They have been able to pass the ball for an average of 21.1 assists per night while grabbing 47.4 rebounds. Defensively, they allow an average of 113.7 points per game to their opponents. Houston has been taking the ball away for 8.3 steals every time they are on the court to go along with 5.6 blocks. They will be looking for a ninth consecutive win.

The Denver Nuggets are now 9-3 on the season following a 131-114 win against the Grizzlies in Memphis. Jamal Murray was able to connect on 14 of 24 from the field to lead the Nuggets with 39 points in the game. Both Murray and Nikola Jokic were able to pass the ball for eight assists while Mason Plumlee was able to pull down a team-high seven rebounds. Denver had four different players with at least 12 points on the night.

The Nuggets have been able to put the ball in the net for an average of 106.9 points per game this season while shooting 44.0 from the field. Denver has passed the ball for an average of 25.8 assists per night with 46.3 rebounds. On the defensive end of the floor, Denver gives up 102.9 points per night. The Nuggets average 7.7 steals per game to go along with 5.3 blocks. They will be looking for a third consecutive win.

The Nuggets will take the court as two points favorites with the total sitting at 223 on the game. Huston has been lighting up the scoreboard every night but Denver is one of the tougher defenses in the league. I’m liking the Nuggets to cover the two points on Wednesday night. I think they are able to increase their average points per game against the Rockets and bring Houston’s winning streak to an end. My money’s on Denver here.

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN? (CFL, CFB and NFL)
C.O.C. = (Chances of Covering) – The ‘C.O.C.’ percentage is based on a teams win/lost record from a ‘Point Spread’ perspective and not their ‘straight up’ (SU) record, using the teams short and long-term win/lost record. After we process it through our ‘math predictor’, we then provide a ‘CHANCES OF COVERING’ percentage for that team in their next game, which let’s you know if there’s any value on betting that team.
C.O.G.O. = (Chances Game Going OVER) – The ‘C.O.G.O.’ percentage is based on both teams OVER/UNDER record, using both teams short and long-term OVER/UNDER records. After we process it through our ‘math predictor’, we then provide a ‘CHANCES OF COVERING’ percentage for that game, which let’s you know if there’s any value on the OVER in that game.
*Note: If there’s a 60% chance of the game going OVER, that means, there’s a 40% chance of the game going UNDER.
MSV = (Market Spread Value) – The MSV is our researched and calculated line compared to the bookmaker’s line. When calculating the MSV, we look for the margin of error between the bookmaker’s line, the final result of a game and then produce the value of what the line should be in the next game for both teams.VI = (Value Index) – The Value Index is the current psychology of the betting public, based on a teams 3-game cycle.

  • BULLISH = Team is either (3-0) in their last 3 games.
  • NEUTRAL = Team is either (1-2 or 2-3) in their last 3 games.
  • BEARISH = Team is either (0-3) in their last 3 games.

L.O.A. = (Law of Average) – The “Law of Average” edge is based on the 50/50 theory. Play on a team that lost against the spread (ATS) or straight up (SU) in their last game, vs. a team that won against the spread (ATS) or straight up (SU) in their last game.
