New Orleans Pelicans vs. Sacramento Kings: NBA Betting Preview for March 6, 2023

The New Orleans Pelicans will visit the Sacramento Kings in a Monday night matchup that could produce plenty of points. The Pelicans have lost their last game against the Golden State Warriors and will look to bounce back in Sacramento. The Kings, on the other hand, are also coming off a loss against the Minnesota Timberwolves and will be eager to redeem themselves on their home court.

According to the Raymond Report Sports Betting Tipsheet, the Pelicans have a PVI Rating on Winning of 59.53% and a PVI Rating on game going UNDER of 74.22%. They have also had a tough strength of schedule in their last seven games, facing some of the best teams in the league. The Pelicans are predicted to score 112.96 points and allow 113.07 points. They have a 42% success rate when covering the spread and a 51% chance of this game going UNDER.

Meanwhile, the Kings have a PVI Rating on Winning of 55.56% and a PVI Rating on game going UNDER of 23.81%. Their strength of schedule in the last seven games has been easier than the Pelicans’. The Kings are predicted to score 122.5 points and allow 120.11 points. They have a 50% success rate when covering the spread and a 50% chance of this game going UNDER. Basically a coin flip in this regard on the percentage play.

Considering both teams’ recent struggles on defense, the OVER seems like a safe bet with an O/U of 238.5 points. With a spread of +6 for the Pelicans, they could cover the spread, especially with their relatively high PVI Rating on Winning. However, the Kings are always a tough team to beat on their home court, and with their strong offensive production of 124.31 PF at home, they may be able to win by more than six points.

Ultimately, this is a game that could go either way, and it will likely be a high-scoring affair. Basketball bettors should consider the OVER and carefully weigh the spread.
