This was bound to happen folks – we are running just above 75% and playing light on weird weeks which Week 13 was.
If you feel weird about it, play light, hold firm to your rules – don’t fall in love with your line-ups in such a way that you are willing to commit more than 20-30% of your winning. Play fewer tournaments and focus on cash, but have fun with tournaments when you can bankroll them with your cash lineups. We are in this together. Last week everyone in my cash lineup sucked it up except Devante Parker who absolutely crushed it. Very frustrating as my research had me running mad rabbit trails all last week, and I was very decisive. That indecision made me play light, but I despise losing. DESPISE IT!!
The goal is to go 4-0 in the last quarter of the season so let go for it – feeling great so I will be back to playing about 30% of my pot —

PLAYS THAT PAY –
QUARTERBACK – Deshaun Watson $7700 at Denver Broncos
Watson was great against New England and that was without running the ball. This week he does get a tough defense, but he is red hot right now, and should get a bunch of volume. Houston can ill afford to lose this game, and Denver should be able to keep pace, so I’m expecting hard play into the 4th quarter.
RUNNING BACK – Devonta Freeman $6000 vs. Carolina Panthers
We get Freeman at home against a Panthers team that just gave up double digit fantasy points to Latavious Murray, Alvin Kamara, Adrian Peterson, and Derrius Guice, and that’s just in the last two games. Freeman didn’t play in the earlier Carolina game, but he’s in a sweet spot especially given all the injuries the Carolina defensive front has incurred.
RUNNING BACK – James White $6000 vs. Kansas City
Trying not chase stats here, but the Kansas City run defense is actually bad. White will get 10 targets, 10 carries for $6K… that’s a deal against a bad defense. He has more red-zone targets than any RB in the league this season. James White will be game flow proof as well, so get while the gettin’ is hot.
WIDE RECEIVER – D.J. Moore $7100 at Atlanta Falcons
Moore is a double-digit target machine receiving double-digit targets in 7 games this season and finishing with double-digit fantasy points in 9 of 12 games this season. He’s starting to get red-zone looks as well. I loved it when he was under $6K, but with Greg Olsen out – the volume should be there.
WIDE RECEIVER – DeVante Parker $7200 at New York Jets
I love that the Dolphins pretty much throw all game long. Parker was $6K last week and scored 32 fantasy points, but don’t expect that this week. We will take 10 targets 7 catches 95 yards and a TD though. There are a ton of good WRs for between $7K and $8K but Parker has the volume and the matchup that justifies the roster spot.
WIDE RECEIVER – DaVante Adams $8400 vs. Washington Redskins
This is a tough one to call, because Adams, Mike Evans, and even Michael Thomas could fall victim to game flow this week. I choose Adams because Washington’s run defense has been decent, and the Packers will need to win this game. Adams should get double digit touches with the chance to make some big plays.
TIGHTEND – Kyle Rudolph $4800 vs. Detroit Lions
I almost put Eric Rudolph (flinch face), but Kyle has been blowing up the competition of late. Adam Thielen is out which means Rudolph gets 6 targets including two in the red zone. He’s scored in four straight and five of the last six including a decent game against the Lions in Detroit in Week 8.
FLEX – Chris Godwin $7900 at Indianapolis
I’ve got some nerve trusting in Jameis Winston… I know!! But the guy gets fixated on a WR and then throws to him 15 times in one game. Even Cameron Brate has had 14 targets in a game this season. Godwin is over due, and has a great matchup on a fast track. Look out for the Bucs in this game.
DEFENSE – Minnesota Vikings $4800 vs. Detroit Lions
Detroit still has a scary offense at the WR position boasting three serviceable WRs, but the rookie QB Detroit is rolling out should have us licking our chops. Except he crushed CHICAGO on Thanksgiving. I’m playing a number here though folks and the Vikings have the best matchup on paper, and the price tag works for roster construction.
GOOD LUCK GAMERS!! –
