This Wednesday, the Dallas Stars and the Nashville Predators begin the second half of their respective seasons when they take the ice for the first time since the All-Star Break. The Central Division Rivals both have their sights set on the postseason, but the Stars will need to get their second half off on a right note, as they have some ground to make up in the Western Conference Wild Card race. As for Nashville, they resume their season second in the West, but with just a +19 goal differential, they too will need to improve their play if they hope to maintain their current spot in the standings.

It was a much-needed break for the Dallas Stars, who have gone 5-5-0 in their last 10 and struggled significantly on the road (8-12-1). They’ve had promising moments this season, as their lone All-Star representative Joe Pavelski is having a dynamite year with 19 goals and 29 assists through 43 games. They’ll hope to get their second half started right at the American Airlines Center on Wednesday.
The Predators are winners of four of their last five games and are benefitting from a stellar season from Juuse Saros in his first full season as the Predators’ starter. Saros is tied for fourth in the NHL in save percentage (.927) and 10th in GAA (2.35). Tune in to watch these rivals take the ice at 8 PM ET.
