The Ottawa Senators will be on the road in Las Vegas on Thursday taking the ice against the Golden Knights at T-Mobile Arena. Ottawa will be looking to bounce back from an 0-2 loss at home to the Minnesota Wild on Monday.
The Golden Knights will be looking for their third win in four games after falling short to the Nashville Predators 2-5 on Tuesday. If they can get back to the offensive numbers they had in the two wins, they should have no problem winning in this one at home.
The Ottawa Senators were unable to put the puck in the net during a 0-2 loss against the Wild their last time on the ice. The Senators were outshot 26-35 and lost 34 of 67 faceoffs. They were unable to score on any of their five power-play opportunities but defended the net each of the six times they skated with a man in the box. Ottawa had 21 blocked shots and five takeaways in the game.
The Senators have been able to put the puck in the net for an average of 2.40 goals per game while giving up 3.80. They have been able to fire an average of 29.4 shots while allowing 33.0 on the defensive end of the ice. Ottawa has yet to score a goal on a power-play opportunity and has an 81.8 penalty kill percentage.
The Las Vegas Golden Knights will be looking to bounce back from a 2-5 loss against the Nashville Predators on Tuesday. The Knights were outshot 35-39 in the game but won the faceoff battle 36-34. They were able to score a goal on one of their four power-play opportunities but gave the goal back on one of the five times they were forced to skate shorthanded. Las Vegas had 14 blocked shots and 18 takeaways in the game.
The Golden Knights are scoring an average of 3.71 goals per game this season while giving up 2.71 to their opponents. They have been able to fire off 33.9 shots while allowing 33.3 on the defensive end of the ice. Las Vegas has a 29.2 conversion percentage on the power-play for seven goals to go with a 92.6 penalty kill percentage.
The Las Vegas Golden Knights come into this as huge favorites. They have better numbers than Ottawa in every category except they give up .3 more shots per game. That’s not a typo. It’s .3 as in point three. I almost want to put my money on the total just to make it interesting, but instead, I’ll go with what looks to be easy money and the Golden Knights.

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN? (NBA,NHL & MLB)
C.O.W. = (Chances of Winning) – The ‘C.O.W.’ percentage is based on a teams win/lost record using their short and long-term win/lost record. After we process it through our ‘math predictor’, we then provide a ‘CHANCES OF WINNING’ percentage for their next game, which let’s you know if there’s any value on betting that team.
C.O.G.O. = (Chances Game Going OVER) – The ‘C.O.G.O.’ percentage is based on both teams OVER/UNDER record, using both teams short and long-term OVER/UNDER records. After we process it through our ‘math predictor’, we then provide a ‘CHANCES OF COVERING’ percentage for that game, which let’s you know if there’s any value on the OVER in that game.
*Note: If there’s a 60% chance of the game going OVER, that means, there’s a 40% chance of the game going UNDER.
DMVI = (Daily Market Value Index) – The DMVI is our researched and calculated line compared to the bookmaker’s line. When calculating the DMVI, we look for the margin of error between the bookmaker’s line, the final result of a game and then produce the value of what the line should be in the next game for both teams. The DMVI is a tool to find value vs. the current line.
VI = (Value Index) – The Value Index is the current psychology of the betting public, based on a teams 7-game cycle.
