Parlay Pete’s Cartoon of the Day – December 19th, 2024

Parlay Pete the Bull thought he had it all figured out. His team was leading big at halftime, and his buddy, sitting next to him, couldn’t help but comment, “Man, what a bet! The only thing that could screw you now is a backdoor cover.” Pete nods confidently, feeling like his victory was all but guaranteed.

But as the second half unfolds, things start to take a turn. The opposing team begins to chip away at the lead, and Pete’s nerves start to rise. He watches anxiously as the clock ticks down, hoping his team holds on for the win.

And then it happens—the opposing team scores in the final moments to land the backdoor cover. But that’s not all. As if on cue, the back door of the sportsbook swings open and smacks Pete right in the head!

With a groan and a smile, Pete says, “Well… guess that’s the real backdoor cover!”
