MLB Odds: Series Finale Between Blue Jays and Angels this Thursday

It’s been a rough series for the Toronto Blue Jays, but they’ll have a chance to salvage the final game of the four-game set against the Los Angeles Angels this Thursday. Blue Jays’ starter Clayton Richard will be up against fellow lefty Jose Suarez, who will be making just the fourth start of his young career. The Jays are likely stinging a bit after dropping a seven-inning performance by Marcus Stroman on Tuesday, when the Jays’ bats couldn’t get going against LA’s starter Tyler Skaggs who pitched his best game of the season.

The Jays’ offensive drought suffered further due to an injury to centerfielder Teoscar Hernandez, who hurt his wrist in the first game of the series and was held out of Wednesday’s game. After hitting two homeruns and driving in three on Tuesday, the Jays’ youngster Cavan Biggio will have to pick up the offensive slack.

Biggio and company will be up against rookie pitcher Jose Suarez. With numerous injuries to the Angels’ pitching staff, the lefty has been given an opportunity to start, so he’ll be keen to show he belongs at the Big-League level with another strong performance on Thursday. Game time is set for 7:07 PM ET.
